The countryside village of Goodleigh where Magnolia View Cottage is situated is the perfect base for exploring North Devon. Centrally located it is close to both the North Devon coastline home to golden beaches such as Croyde and Woolacombe, and Exmoor National Park where you can enjoy a traditional cream tea or stroll across heather clad moors. The cottage is also close to a very good village pub and within easy reach of local towns and villages where you will find a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.

Whatever time of year you visit, there are plenty of places to explore within a 30 minute drive of Goodleigh. Spend time browsing the shops in and around Barnstaple or relax at Ilfracombe’s pretty harbour watching the boats go out to sea. Further afield there are the seaside villages of Instow, Appledore and Clovelly to discover or see where Exmoor meets the sea at Lynton and Lynmouth on the Devon and Somerset border. In the nearby town of Barnstaple, visitors will find a good selection of shops and places to eat, there are also the main supermarkets, a tennis centre, a leisure complex and a multi-screen cinema. Most supermarkets will deliver to Magnolia View, however, you can also use the links below for farm shop produce and ready made meals.
