Location

This family and dog friendly holiday cottage is ideally located for exploring North Devon. Situated in Goodleigh, the cottage is within walking distance of the village pub, The New Inn, which serves a great range of food and is very popular. North Devon’s largest town, Barnstaple is only a 10 minute drive, and the golden beaches of Saunton, Croyde, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! can all be reached in less than 30 minutes. If you would prefer to head inland for the day, Exmoor National Park is also nearby and offers a wealth of walks and outdoor activities for all the family.

Things to do

As well as the gorgeous beaches, there are many attractions in North Devon within easy reach of Magnolia View. From family friendly fun at Lynton and Lynmouth Funicular Railway, Watermouth Castle and the Milky Way theme park, to beautiful open gardens, including National Trust's Arlington Court and its carriage museum and RHS Rosemoor. There really is an attraction for everyone when staying in North Devon.

Places to Eat

Goodleigh village is home to a very good pub, The New Inn, which serves a wonderful array of dishes, many of which use local produce and all are cooked fresh to order. Other pubs and restaurants, such as The Glorious Oyster, Block and The Pyne Arms can all be found nearby. Many pubs and restaurants are child friendly and are happy to welcome dogs.

Places to Visit

Goodleigh is central to many of North Devon’s beautiful towns and villages. The market town of Barnstaple is only a 10 minute drive and is home to a great range of shops, pannier market and places to eat, as well as all the main supermarkets, the town also has its own cinema and leisure complex. Further afield but still within easy reach of Magnolia View are the Victorian towns of Ilfracombe, Lynton and Lynmouth, Appledore, Instow and South Molton.

Thanks to Magnolia View Cottage’s great location to North Devon's wonderful beaches and Exmoor, there are many outdoor activities to enjoy such as walking, surfing, cycling, fishing and horse riding. There are also several golf courses and at all the main beaches a number of water sports can be enjoyed, with lessons offered in surfing for all ages and abilities.
